support a wide variety of sporting and recreational
activities including golf, tennis, skiing, hiking,

educational opportunities and entertainment, as well as
attracting motels, restaurants and shopping centers.
Emergency medical services are provided by rescue squads
and two area hospitals. Helicopter service is
available to major medical centers in the state of North
